STEP BY STEP TO FEED THE NEXT CHILD ~ SPONSORED WALK
MARY’S MEALS WALK FROM MALIN TO KNOCK, DERRY TO KNOCK AND KILKENNY TO KNOCK
‘Step by Step to Feed the Next Child’ is a Mary’s Meals Sponsored Walk. The walk will begin in Malin, Co. Donegal and in Kilkenny on Tueday 7th August and finish in Knock, Co. Mayo on Wednesday 15th August. This 9-day Sponsored Walk helps to raise awareness of the work of Mary’s Meals and to raise funds to help feed the next child waiting on Mary’s Meals.
Sponsorship Cards are available from Fr. Kelly, Grove Furnishings (Letterkenny Shopping Centre), Greene’s Shoes, Market Centre, Letterkenny and by ringing the Mary’s Meals Mobile Number at the bottom of this page.
Mary’s Meals is an international movement that sets up school feeding projects in communities where poverty and hunger prevent children from gaining an education.
Mary’s Meals is a simple idea that works – by providing a daily meal in a place of education, it feeds chronically hungry children and brings them to the classroom where they can gain a basic education that provides an escape route to something better.
Over One Million Children (1,257,278) receive Mary’s Meals every school day.
The average cost to feed a child for a whole school year is €15.60.
